5 Wedding Trends for 2025

Weddings / 10.08.24

With just three months left until we glide into 2025, many couples are already well into planning, piecing together the beautiful details that will make their special day unique. As we know, the wedding world is constantly evolving, with each year bringing fresh ideas and creative approaches that redefine how couples celebrate love. Drawing from insights shared by top industry tastemakers and our own planners’ expertise, we’ve curated a small list of the biggest wedding trends set to shine even brighter in 2025.

Enchanting Venues

Selecting the perfect venue is a key part of planning your dream wedding. 2025 will see couples gravitating toward venues with natural impact. “Couples are choosing spaces for their inherent beauty and simplicity,” Megan Cassiere, McHales Event Planner explains. “This might mean a modern venue with clean lines or a historic location with stunning architecture. By reducing the need for extra decor, more of the wedding budget can be devoted to crafting memorable guest experiences.”

Prioritizing Hospitality

“Couples are recognizing that the guest experience is central to the wedding,” says Lindsay Morris, Sales Manager. “They want their guests to feel relaxed, comfortable, and fully in sync with the setting and group dynamics. Instead of rigid schedules or rushed timelines, couples are focusing on creating a seamless, stress-free atmosphere. From thoughtful arrival logistics to hosting your wedding and ceremony in one location, the goal is to make sure guests are treated well and thoroughly enjoy the celebration.”

Artistic Arrangements

Whimsical yet sophisticated, artistic floral arrangements are taking center stage, with experts forecasting even greater popularity in 2025. Florists are redefining traditional styles, creating bold, innovative centerpieces, bouquets, bar accents, and aisle arrangements that stand out as true works of art.

Dramatic Drapery

Table scapes will take center stage in wedding design. Expect to see deep velvets, soft linen blends, and details like piped or ruffled edges in 2025. Dramatic accents for tables and chairs will be a widespread trend, bringing effortless shape and movement to traditional table settings.

Creating New Traditions

Wedding planners are thrilled to witness more couples breaking away from old customs and embracing new traditions. “More couples are designing custom menus, greeting guests individually, and having fun extras like dessert trucks or late night snacks,” Loren Wehrley, Event Manager says. “They’re realizing they can design a wedding that reflects their personal vision, rather than feeling obligated to follow traditional expectations.”
