Mater Dei Chapel at the College of Mount St. Joseph

We met during High school at a Skyline after a Friday Night Elder Football game. We were introduced to one another through friends and then started dating a few months later. We were high school sweethearts, dated all through college, and then got engaged shortly after Matt started his full-time job and Kim was finishing up school.
Matt completely surprised Kim on a warm Saturday morning in March 2009 after she crossed the monkey bars on a Nature Path at Emschoff Park. They decided to go for a walk earlier in the morning because it was so nice outside and when they reached the monkey bars Matt said “if you make it across, maybe I’ll give you a little surprise.” Kim thought it would just be a simple kiss but surprisingly it was a ring!
We have had an open mind about everything and decided not to worry about the small things because no matter what it was going to be our day. We will be with each other on that day and that’s all that really matters.
The most challenging experience has been getting everything organized at the end and doing seating arrangements these last few weeks before the wedding. I would definitely recommend getting as much done as you can early (even just wrapping the bridal party gifts) because every little bit counts. Other than being a little rushed at the end, we have certainly enjoyed the journey preparing for our wedding day
We selected our vendors though friends and family members that have recently been married and through word of mouth.
