Ashley moved to Northern Kentucky her sophomore year of High School. We met at Ryle HS and began dating after a special evening at the Senior Dinner Dance. We then went on to UK together and now live happily in Maryland.
Jason proposed on Christmas morning, in the rain, after apologizing that he did not get Ashley a puppy or a house. He got down on one knee and said that he loved Ashley more than anything and asked her to be his wife.
We were glad to have the wedding in Kentucky close to all of our friends and family. There isn’t a day that goes by that we aren’t thankful for our amazing friends and family. The best part was we were able to find a car service to drive Ashley’s grandmother from Cleveland, Ohio all the way to Kentucky to be part of the day.
I think the most challenging part was planning a wedding from Baltimore, MD to occur in Northern KY. We never would have been able to accomplish this feat without the help of our remarkable vendors and dedicated family who attended everything we couldn’t make it home for.
Our vendor selection process taught us a lot about what it would be like as a married couple, COMPROMISING. Jason knew the church he wanted to get married in, and Ashley fell in love with the Marquise due to the great location (central for all of our guests) and how helpful they were with us planning from out of town. The comments that we have received about the reception and of how great of a time everyone had, and the deliciousness of the food made it all worth it. Jason’s cousin is a part time DJ & offered his services which couldn’t have been better. We selected Don from Kamera Art after meeting with a few photographers because of his laid back approach and his excellent time management skills on our special day. Lastly, we decided on Fantasy In Frosting because of how awesome the staff was during our tasting and the huge variety of flavors they could offer.
