Do you have a lot of out of town guests? Try to get a hotel that offers a shuttle service! Fewer cars equal fewer pollutants and saves on gas.
On October 1st, 2016 the Marquise will host its last event! Since May of 1999, the Marquise has hosted thousands of events including Wedding Receptions, Social Events, Proms, Fundraisers and many Corporate Meetings. “I am sad to see it go,” said owner, Chuck McHale. “It has been an unbelievably successful venue, meeting budget the first quarter it was open. It was my first venue and I was able to design and build it from the ground up.”
With the trend of Wedding Receptions going to more contemporary venues in downtown locations, or venues with outdoor space such as rustic barn weddings, McHale’s has made the decision to partner with a select few of these venues and bring their outstanding service and food to them. “By closing the Marquise, we increase our capacity to grow our off-premise business. 2016 will be the busiest year in company history and we are budgeting 2017 to be even busier.”
The Marquise will become the new home of Northern Kentucky Pediatric Group. Dr. Stine, Dr. Pappas, Dr. Bobinski and their team will look to grow their practice, enjoying 50% more space in their new location. They will open in early 2017 with 15 exam rooms and 5 provider offices. “I look forward to working with them for the next 15 years or more. They are so excited to move to this location with all of the activity that comes along with The Town & Country Sports and Soccer Complex, The Great Escape Cinema and Mellow Mushroom.”
McHale’s will continue to operate their remaining Northern Kentucky venues, The Gardens of Park Hills, and The Grand and Pinnacle Ballrooms at Fifth and Madison in Covington. They will also continue to enjoy their 16 year partnership with Drees Pavilion; and new partners, The Center on Fountain Square, National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, The Sterling Event Center at St. Barbara Church, The New Riff Bourbon Distillery in Newport, Rhinegeist Brewery in OTR and the new Prickel Barn in Walton Verona, along with the opportunity for a few more in 2017.
